[There's a lot of clunk sounds suddenly and a lot of angry muttering on the other end.]

THIS TASTES METALLIC AND GROSS AND NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR. MAYBE MY TONGUE TURNED OFF? IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE? HOW DO THESE BUTTONS WORK? WHAT IS THIS THING? WHERE IS MY CANE?

WHERE AM I? [That mumbling has turned more into yelling and it sounds like she isn't even aware that its recording.] THIS WORLD SMELLS LIKE NOTHING. A WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING.

[If you're in New Bark Town, you'll probably see a girl sitting on the ground with her Dratini. She's shaking her Gear like that will actually do something. Otherwise, she looks really upset right about now. She keeps patting the area around her whenever she tries to pet her Dratini. Honestly, she keeps missing that damn thing completely. How do function in real life?]

A dratini! [ That is the cutest Dratini ever. Yes, best Dratini. Aradia's never actually seen one in person, so she sounds appropriately impressed. ] Let's see...

...So, she'll have two evolutions; Dragonair and Dragonite.

So basically, she's going to grow up huge and powerful. [Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Best Pyralspite. Best dragon. Best not fiduspawn creature!]

How do I make her big and strong?

Just like Fiduspawn! You battle her against other creatures, and she gains levels. There are two roles here, basically - trainer and breeder. Trainers take on gyms and earn badges, Breeders breed their pokemon for a stronger offspring! I'm a Breeder, but you might not be.

I must be a trainer! Breeder sounds boring, no offense. But it isn't a suitable job for someone like me! [She would be terrible at the breeding thing anyways...]

I don't think I should be trying to breed things! Let's be honest.

None taken! I enjoy it, anyway. Actually, I should have a dragon next month - Charmander. You can have one of those if you like, to see what sort of Breeder I am!

Not many of us are, really. Most of us are trainers! I'm with Sollux and Jake and Dirk, and all three of them are trainers.

Of course I want one! I'm going to have all the dragons! All of them, Aradia! [She's so excited about having dragons. Gosh.]

I'm probably a trainer! Like anyone would want me in charge of breeding these things. I can't even see what they look like! [She'd just pair them up and tell them to have babies or something.]

I think it should be fairly simple to get a lot of them pretty quickly, actually. A lot of our friends have really big rosters!

[ Aradia does too. She. Has egg buying problems. ] I know for a fact Karkat has several, and so do Rose and John!

You probably wouldn't really enjoy it, I don't think! It's a bit...nitpicky? Nitpicky is a word, right?

Karkat has dragons and he isn't telling me?! [LOOK HOW AFFRONTED SHE LOOKS.] If I wasn't such a good friend, that would be deserving of a hanging for withholding information of that caliber to me!

As someone who represents the law, we're supposed to be nitpicky!!! But I probably wouldn't. Breeding was more of Kanaya's thing.

He has a Deino, a Haxorus, Altaria - actually, I could spot you a Swablu sometime, too, that's the first form of Altaria - Garchomp, Dragonair, Salamence, and Charmander! [ ...He texted her a list of his entire roster, Aradia keeps tabs on this sort of thing! ]

Kanaya is actually a breeder! Out of all of us, me, Kanaya, Nepeta, Rose and Rose's human lusus are the only breeders.

Of course he is! He is the coolest of coolkids! It would be so uncool of him not too!

[Oh my god. All of these sounds so exciting.] I need all of these! Of course, my Dratini is the best though. But why would I deny myself an army of dragons? Do I even have to own any other kind of pokebeast?

I'm not surprised by Kanaya being one! It sounds like there's a severe lack of caring men though! I bet they're all trying to be cool and impressive by being a trainer.

Well, Dragon types are weak to...Ice and Dragon. So having types to cover those weaknesses might be useful, but otherwise, Dragons have a lot of resistances.

You know, I hadn't noticed that before? About none of the guys being breeders. I think there's a way to apply for a change, but I've never minded my position, so! I still get to challenge gyms if I want, and I can explore and stuff.

That's because there's nothing better than a dragon! [Because Terezi says so and she'll deny anything ever one upping her babies.]

They're probably trying to make all the females swoon with their good battling skills! All the flush crushes they can get. [Terezi cackles.] I think you're find as a Breeder! Don't worry your little morbid faerie rumpus!

[ Aradia's not going to argue the point, although she likes ghost and fossil types. ]

Well, John and Karkat at least probably aren't doing that!

Ugh! Why can't anything ever be done in a linear fashion! It's like our lives are doomed to never just going in a straight line.

Well, we weren't even born in a linear fashion if you think about it. But...I'm sort of used to it! I've never been able to do anything linearly. Being a time player sort of, you know, negates that option.

Even my powers kept in a linear sense! At least I didn't make it difficult for myself like everyone else did when contacting the humans! It was funny for me though.

Watching everyone else troll themselves by being non-linear, you mean?

[ YEAH. The time player on the troll side thought that entire mess was complete nonsense and said so, although she also...didn't get that involved, being a robot and dead. ]
